Museum on Main Street Opening Day!

The Colorado Humanities tour of “Crossroads: Change in Rural America," a Smithsonian's Museum on Main Street (MoMS) exhibit is coming to Ignacio! Opening April 29th and running through June 2nd. We invite you to participate in this FREE and interactive exhibit for all ages! Come reflect on Ignacio's history while finding out how you connect to your community with local exhibits, events and programs designed to complement the Smithsonian exhibition.

We'll have dinner and activities that go along with the book as well. *A deposit is required with sign up for the family for the event to secure a spot. $10 deposit that can be retrieved when you come to the program, otherwise it is a donation to the library.* |

With a range of interactive science activities, visitors can discover the mysteries of the universe in a whole new way. Witness the sun like never before through our solar telescopes, capture yourself in a new light using an infrared camera, and explore the Martian surface with 3-D maps. These are just a few of the exciting experiences that await you on board.

In this class, you will learn how to grow vegetables in containers at home and gain skills for incorporating them into your meals at a low cost. You will also get the opportunity to build a container garden that you can take home with you.
